This remodel is located in the coastal region of Del Mar, which requires 50% of the existing walls to remain in place while the interior and exterior surfaces are stripped down to the studs. Walls were built to shore the structure, and the new footings and slab areas were over-excavated and soil compacted to meet the specifications of the structural and soil engineers. This project includes a first and second floor addition to best suit the requirements of the family’s lifestyle. It features new finishes throughout, including a custom kitchen, guest bedroom, master bedroom suite that includes a separate office and private sun deck with views of the ocean, his and hers closets, and accommodations for a personal spa-like master bath. |
