La Jolla Beach House
This project falls under the guidelines of the Coastal Commission as a remodel that requires 50% of the exterior walls to remain in place while the remaining house is demolished. During demolition all salvageable materials from the copper pipes, to the wood sheeting and floor joist have been saved to be reused on other projects. The home’s exterior features extensive glazing, stone Veneer, and environmentally friendly wood that is an alternative to endangered tropical wood species. The interior features modern Italian cabinetry, Terrazzo stone flooring and large windows and sliding doors that extend the living areas to the outside decks and patios. The home will be just over 3100 square feet with a new third story to take advantage of the incredible ocean and beach views.
